Cross Stitch Retreats In Northumberland August 2008
Diary Dates:  Sunday 3rd -  Thursday 7th August 2008

Shepherds Dene near Riding Mill, Northumberland

Shepherds Dene near Riding Mill, Northumberland

This beautiful house inspired by the Arts and Crafts Movement and set in 20 acres of gardens and woodland is ours exclusively for the duration of your visit.

We begin with the evening meal at 6pm on the day of arrival and close with afternoon tea at 3.30 on the last day.

Delicious traditional home cooking is served throughout our stay, which includes full English breakfast, lunch and evening meal each day.

The theme this year will be new cross stitch ideas based on medieval French tapestry designs, following Barbara's holiday last year visiting the chateaux and gardens of the Loire valley.

If anyone would like to bring their husband this year there is plenty for him to do whilst we are stitching, choosing from golf at Slaley Hall, salmon fishing in the Tyne (permits available), swimming at Hexham and Prudhoe and lots of walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside (guided if necessary by Barbara's recently published book of walks in the area!)

There is a choice of single or shared rooms and vegetarian or special diets are provided on request. Our tariff covers absolutely every thing: accommodation, three meals each day, endless tea and biscuits, visits, workshops and materials and we will even meet you at the station.

The price is unchanged at £280 and this includes everything from accommodation and food to all materials and tuition. For accompanying husbands sharing a room the cost will be £200.

If you would like to join us, please email ann@barbarathompson.co.uk and we will be in touch with our new itinerary and booking details for August 2008
